At Rydex
As Portfolio Manager, Ryan is responsible for managing Rydex’s leveraged and inverse funds for both equities and fixed income, including the Absolute Return Strategies, Hedged Equity, International and High Yield Strategy funds. His responsibilities cover futures, options, swaps, bond and equity transactions for various funds, and he strives to ensure that the funds are properly invested on a daily basis. Ryan also provides research and analysis of market performance, and assists in quantitative research.

Background
Before joining Rydex, Ryan served as an equity research analyst and assistant portfolio manager handling international equities, using a GARP investment process. Ryan started his career in risk management with CIBC World Markets in 1998. He has a bachelor’s degree in economics from Brock University, and received a Master’s degree in International Security, Investment and Banking from the ICMA Centre at the University of Reading, UK. Ryan is a member of the CFA Institute, formerly known as the Association for Investment Management and Research (AIMR) and the Dallas Society of Financial Analysts.
